THE VINEYARD

The soils in the Swartland region of South Africa are primarily shale, granite, and iron-based, with some sandstone outcrops. These soils have different characteristics, which create unique growing conditions for grapes. The dry conditions of the Swartland result in smaller grape berries that are more concentrated and flavourful.

IN THE CELLAR

Made in the same style as the iconic provincial roses in France. Grapes are hand harvested into small lug boxes and transported to our cellar in the early hours of the morning to ensure temperature control. With minimal colour extraction through a gentle press, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks. We allow the wine to mature on the fine lees for 12 months before being bottled.
